A Trip to the Capitol

Last Thursday, I went to the State House to testify in support of a state adoption tax credit bill. I decided to take Grace out of school because I thought it would be a good learning experience for her. I spoke to the committee and Grace came up to the podium with me. Several legislators asked me questions and during this time, Grace apparently became bored and started hopping around and dancing as I was trying to maintain my professionalism. Then Abe started crying for me and I had to interrupt a state senator to pick him up. So much for my dignity.
