I'm dreaming of a warm Christmas

We have several (more) inches of snow on the ground. Winter has come fast, furious and early this year. Last year at this time it was in the 60's. We are supposed to get a real doozy of a storm on Sunday. Fortunately we get to leave all of this behind for 10 warm, hopefully sunny days in Florida with my folks. We can't wait! Every day we have the countdown to sun. I have plotted at least two other reprieves in the sun before spring.

I used to have romantic, Norman Rockwell-like notions of Christmas in Maine but 11 years of winter have made me a frozen cynic. Who cares about a white Christmas, sledding, frost-covered trees? Get me warm!
